This handmade rakhi is made with a ceramic medallion and cotton cloth piping.

The ceramic piece is handmade in our studio from the scratch. The tulsi seed impression is taken on the ceramic piece when the clay is wet and then the piece is fired in the kiln thrice, second time with the glaze reaching temeperatures of 1240 celcius. 24 Carat gold luster is applied after the second firing and then the piece is fired in the kiln for a third time, making the gold permanent.
 
Once the ceramic piece is out of the kiln, the rakhi is then finished by using cotton cloth piping and other accesories.
